| Sumari: | Currently, the transformation of heraldic emblems in higher level educational institutions shows the tendency to simplify them into minimalist logos without prior analysis, showing a deterioration of impact on visual identity. The redesign of the emblematic institutional study of the Bolivar Higher Technological Institute, focuses on analyzing the relationship between the emblematic, heraldic and semiotic with graphic design, in order to understand and reinterpret the current heraldic emblems as visual identifiers. For which a qualitative approach methodology is applied, of an ethnographic type, of descriptive scope, which uses as a theoretical method, the synthetic analytical method and as an empirical method, participant observation, where design methods are applied, which allow to analyze the discourses. visuals and understand how they convey messages and meanings through symbols and visual elements. It is here that the importance of the emblematic and heraldic approach to the construction of identity is clarified. Based on this context, the development of a user manual for the redesigned emblematic system was obtained, which strengthens the institutional image, providing guidelines for the appropriate use of the emblems in different contexts and ensuring their correct reproduction. The diversity of perspectives enriches the evaluation process and guarantees the representativeness and legibility of the emblems. |
