Description
Résumé:The project focuses on the design and development of multifunctional children's clothing for children ages 8 to 10 who participate in dance activities at the Screwf Dancer's academy, located in Tisaleo, Tungurahua. This proposal responds to the need for adaptable, comfortable and safe clothing, where currently families face logistical and economic limitations, when renting or having dance clothing made, in addition, elements such as functionality and aesthetics are combined, incorporating innovative features. as modular pieces, ensuring that garments are versatile, durable and suitable for different artistic presentations, optimizing costs and reducing the number of costumes required. The methodology applied was a qualitative approach that included interviews and focus groups with parents, designers, choreographers and even the children themselves. This process allowed us to identify the specific needs of the target group, such as comfort, ease of use and aesthetic preferences. The developed prototype met the objectives of functionality, comfort and aesthetics for various choreographies, while its modular design facilitated its adaptation to different needs. This project builds children's confidence and motivation in their artistic pursuits and opens opportunities for innovations in children's textile design in Ecuador, this comprehensive approach ensures that the project not only benefits the local community, but also has the potential to influence the design of children's clothing at the national level.
