| الملخص: | The festivities of the Quero canton, celebrated every July 24th, lack an effective cultural dissemination strategy. The available information on official platforms is limited to events such as concerts, the election of the queen, and bullfights, without significantly representing the canton’s cultural identity. Additionally, traditional artisanal practices, such as woodworking and wool weaving, have declined due to industrialization and lack of recognition. In response to this issue, the present research proposes the creation of 2D characters inspired by the history and traditions of Quero to strengthen cultural identity and promote its preservation. The study employs a deductive approach, starting with a general analysis of the festivities and their cultural context to design characters that integrate symbols, costumes, and representative elements of the canton. The methodology includes bibliographic review, case studies, and the application of graphic design principles. The results show that the incorporation of visual characters can enhance cultural dissemination, fostering a stronger sense of belonging within the community and attracting the interest of new generations. Additionally, it is recommended that these characters be integrated into promotional campaigns, merchandising, and educational materials to expand their impact. The development of 2D characters represents an innovative strategy to revitalize Quero’s cultural identity, ensuring its transmission to future generations and contributing to the promotion of its cultural heritage at both local and digital levels. |
