Yhteenveto:This thesis focuses on the creation of a morphological guide for the design of spaces aimed at autistic infants in Ambato, Ecuador. Inspired by diverse architectural theories such as phenomenology, inclusive architecture and neuroarchitecture, the research addresses the architectural barriers that these children face and analyzes their reactions to the environment. The methodology, which includes a bibliographic review, interviews with experts and the mother of an autistic child, is based on the application of key concepts in the design of inclusive spaces. The resulting guide, divided into sensory and projectual strategies, is presented as an accessible and understandable tool for both professionals and the community in general. The research highlights the lack of specific guidance in Ambato and proposes a comprehensive approach to address the needs of the autistic population. The conclusion of the research indicates that the implementation of specific strategies, guided by the illustrated guide, has the potential to mitigate negative reactions in the behavior of people within the autism spectrum, improving inclusivity and well-being in the spaces they inhabit. The results, obtained through spatial evaluations and interviews, support the usefulness of the guide in creating friendlier environments and highlight the need for similar guides in local contexts to promote inclusive architecture. In summary, the thesis provides a practical and contextualized resource to improve the quality of life of autistic infants through inclusive architectural design, integrating various architectural theories to offer a comprehensive and effective approach.
