| Summary: | This project aims to develop a sport-wear line specifically designed for trekking, under the company Canutex. For this purpose, a sub-brand called Canutrek is proposed, focusing on creating sportswear collections for mountaineering. The objective is to offer high-quality garments at affordable prices, using innovative textiles from renowned suppliers such as Lafayette, ensuring high standards in the sport-wear sector. The material selection is based on extensive research on waterproof, quick-drying, and breathable fabrics, essential for optimizing performance in outdoor activities. Additionally, data collection was conducted through interviews with trekking professionals and experts in sportswear design to ensure the functionality and comfort of the garments. The proposed collection consists of five garments following a three-layer system: a slimfit base layer, an intermediate polar fleece layer to maintain body temperature, and an outer waterproof layer to protect against weather conditions. The garments are madding from textiles that prioritize the user's health, with finishes applied through thermofusion techniques, providing an aesthetic and functional design without compromising comfort. This project contributes to sportswear design by integrating advanced materials and minimalist prints inspired by Ecuadorian nature. It also aims to strengthen national production, encouraging local brands to create competitive products that enhance the consumer's physical performance while remaining economically accessible |
