Producción audiovisual sobre la situación actual de la autogestión artística independiente en Ambato y su alcance

The project proposes the creation of an audiovisual product that documents the experiences and challenges of self-managed artists, highlighting the importance of their role in the cultural and social development of the city. In the Ecuadorian context, artistic self-management faces significant barriers such as lack of funding, limited visibility, and restricted access to technological resources. However, in Ambato, notable initiatives such as the FFF Festival and Nuna Humanista have been consolidated, fostering alternative spaces for artistic creation and community interaction. Audiovisual production emerges as a fundamental tool for the dissemination of artistic content and the documentation of creative processes, allowing the public to be sensitized to the realities and contributions of independent artists. This approach is based on national and international references that demonstrate how collaborative and low-cost techniques can generate effective and high-quality products. In this sense, the project seeks to create a documentary using participatory and observational narrative approaches that reflect the challenges and achievements of the independent artistic sector. The social and cultural impact of self-management in Ambato is reflected in the creation of collaborative networks, the professionalization of art, and the strengthening of local cultural identity. Although institutions such as the Casa de la Cultura Núcleo Tungurahua provide logistical support and free spaces for cultural events, economic sustainability remains a key challenge.
