Diseño de material editorial como complemento al aprendizaje de la lengua kichwa, dirigido a niños de primer año de educación básica de la unidad educativa del milenio intercultural bilingüe "Chibuleo"

This project focuses on the design of editorial material as a complement to the learning of the Kichwa language, aimed at first-year basic education students at the Intercultural Bilingual Millennium Educational Unit "Chibuleo" in Ambato, Ecuador. The Chibuleo community is distinguished by its cultural richness and its commitment to preserving the Kichwa language but faces challenges due to the lack of suitable educational resources to support language learning and strengthen cultural identity. The proposal involves the creation of visually appealing educational materials tailored to the pedagogical needs of students and teachers. The design incorporates graphic elements inspired by Kichwa culture, such as illustrations of local flora, fauna, traditional clothing, and customs. This approach seeks to promote interactive and meaningful learning through dynamic activities and accessible materials. The project is structured into multiple phases, including problem analysis, the development of a theoretical and legal framework, and the creation of strategies based on field research, interviews, and observations. PEST and SWOT analyses were conducted to ensure the project's feasibility and alignment with the educational institution’s and community’s needs. The final prototype prioritizes visual content over text, featuring interactive resources and a style guide to maintain coherence. The primary objectives are to enhance Kichwa language teaching, strengthen cultural identity, and encourage engaging and accessible learning experiences for children.
