Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This clinical case focuses on the adaptation of contact lenses in an 18-year-old female patient with decreased visual acuity. A comprehensive evaluation of ocular health will be carried out through several optometric examinations that include refractive prescription in order to determine the suitability of the appropriate contact lenses for the patient. On the other hand, the most appropriate contact lenses in terms of type, material and design will be carefully selected, considering the visual and comfort needs of the patient. In addition to this, it is proposed to provide details on the use and care of the lenses, as well as guidelines to guarantee a successful adaptation. In conclusion, a monitoring plan will be established to monitor the adaptation of the contact lenses, make adjustments if necessary and address any problems that may arise. The final objective is to improve the visual acuity and the problem of myopic astigmatism revealed in the patient's optometric examinations and her visual quality of life through a safe and effective adaptation of contact lenses. |
