Descripció
Sumari:The present case study has as its theme: Gender Violence and emotional self-regulation in an adult woman. The objective is to determine how gender violence influences emotional self-regulation in order to establish diagnostic criteria, strengthen the family support network and establish psychotherapeutic interventions at the individual and family level. Techniques such as clinical interviews, clinical history, psychometric techniques such as the Hamilton Anxiety Scale, Beck's Depression Questionnaire and the Traumatic Experience Questionnaire were used. The analysis of these, allows to structure a diagnosis as an Episode of Post-traumatic Stress. The affected areas are: cognitive, behavioral, affective and somatic, therefore, the psychotherapeutic interventions performed were carried out under a scheme of patient-therapist relationship where the therapeutic system gives the guidelines and not the methodological resource of a single approach.
