However, it must be considered that the different festivities in the year are the impulse of mobility to the destination, this implies that the Parroquia La Unión del Canton Babahoyo has a seasonality of visits, the date with the greatest influx of visitors is in summer: June, July and August. The parish festivals are held in the month of June of each year, where the main activities are commerce throughout the parish, its main objective to boost the economy, the little or limited leisure and recreation activity will help increase visits that do not only be a seasonal tourism on the important dates of the Parroquia La Unión del Canton Babahoyo. |

Los ciudadanos y los turistas eligen el destino turístico que desean visitar. En la sociedad actual, más avanzada los viajes, el ocio y todo tipo de actividades relacionada con el turismo y el poder distraerse y salir de la rutina es interesante para aquellas personas que disponen de su tiempo para poder recrearse y tener nuevas experiencias en su vida. A su vez, se considera que el ocio es más amplio que la recreación. En ese sentido, al ser el ocio entendido como una necesidad humana, la recreación podrá ser una de las posibles formas de satisfacer la necesidad de ocio. Por esto, es importante comprender que el ocio puede incluir a la recreación, lo que no ocurre de forma inversa. Así, se considera que el ocio y la recreación, desde lo conceptual, son diferentes. Sin embargo, se debe considerar que las distintas fiestas del año son el impulso de la movilidad al destino, esto implica que la Parroquia La Unión del Cantón Babahoyo tiene una estacionalidad de visitas, la fecha con mayor afluencia de visitantes es en verano: Junio, julio y agosto. A su vez, el ocio se considera más amplio que la recreación. En este sentido, al entenderse el ocio como una necesidad humana, la recreación puede ser una de las posibles vías para satisfacer la necesidad de ocio. Por eso, es importante entender que el ocio puede incluir la recreación, lo que no ocurre al revés.
