IMPACTO DE LOS FACTORES CULTURALES Y LA INFLUENCIA EN LA IDENTIDAD VISUAL DEL MALECÓN DEL SALADO, GUAYAQUIL.

The main objective of this study is to analyze the impact of cultural factors on the visual identity of the Malecón del Salado in the city of Guayaquil. To do so, a situational diagnosis was carried out, identifying cultural elements that have contributed to the construction and perception of residents and tourists of this place. Also, gastronomy, artistic manifestations, history and its relationship with the river being a reference for tourism and the social life of the community. In addition, the descriptive method using surveys and direct observation to evaluate the relationship between visual elements and Guayaquil culture is highlighted. However, weaknesses were also evident, such as the lack of maintenance in some areas and the need for greater promotion of its cultural value.
