Pensamientos suicidas y su repercusión en la conducta en hombre adulto mayor de 85 años perteneciente a la ciudad de Babahoyo

The present case study is carried out with an adult person over 85 years of age, a resident of the city of Babahoyo, province of Los Ríos, user in times of pandemic due to the COVID-19 virus, loses his wife, the main motivator for his mental health. start having problems. The objective of the study is to know about suicidal ideas in an older adult and its impact on behavior, and to know this problem, the cognitive behavioral model is used as a psychological approach to know the influence of thoughts on the behavior of the individual, as well as We proceed with the application of psychometrics, which are the Yesavage geriatric depression scale and the Rossemberg self-esteem scale. This case study deals specifically with the diagnosis of suicidal ideation and its impact on the behavior of an 85-year-old man. In this case, we proceed with conducting open interviews and applying psychometrics to understand the aforementioned problem, so we also proceed with the anamnesis of the problem to take into account the background and evolution of the problem. A psychological intervention was carried out to modify the problem behavior and generate coping strategies in the suicidal ideas presented in this case study. The line of research of this case study is limited to prevention, diagnosis, evaluation and psychotherapeutic treatment in the clinical setting.
