Resumo:EPOC is a chronic degenerative disease of great importance for public health, being more frequent in adults from 40 to 45 years old, this pathology is the cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. The prevalence worldwide is 15.7% in men and 9.93% in women and is the third cause of death and blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the walls of the arteries with a prevalence in the population of 18 to 59 years is 37.2%. The present clinical case deals with a 56-year-old male patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and arterial hypertension, a native of the city of Guaranda, the objective is to carry out an individualized nutritional care process, where the evaluation of the nutritional status was diagnosed through assessments, anthropometrics, laboratory tests, physical/clinical aspects and 24-hour reminder calculation, a nutritional plan of 1750 kcal/day of soft consistency was elaborated, and monitoring was carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the nutritional intervention.
