BIBLIOTECAS VIRTUALES Y SU APORTE EN EL PROCESO DE APRENDIZAJE A LOS ESTUDIANTES DE BACHILLERATO EN CIENCIAS DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA “DIEZ DE AGOSTO “DEL CANTÓN MONTALVO, PROVINCIA DE LOS RÍOS

The research work was developed in the “Diez de Agosto” Educational Unit of the Province of Los Ríos, Cantón Montalvo, because through previous visits it was observed the little knowledge on the part of students and teachers about the information and communication technologies that are increasingly They are more present in society and in the educational field, which is why it is important that they know the benefits of working with virtual libraries. Virtual libraries arise from the need to gather and organize bibliography for consultation. The library is not the space itself where the documents are found, but from my point of view it is the documents that make or give life to the library. With technological advances and an evolution in the use of information, it was necessary because the changing society demanded it, a shift in the management of texts, changing from printed to digital. The role of the teacher with respect to virtual libraries must be to generate conflicts that make their students have to investigate any medium, whether electronic or printed, generate doubts about the search results so that there is greater consultation of sources. of information, make him search, select, structure, evaluate and restructure the information obtained, to make him a trainer of his own knowledge. Due to its great benefits, a virtual guide was created to better understand the contribution of virtual libraries in teaching.
