Добавить метку | Итог: | The purpose of this case study is to analyze the network infrastructure and bandwidth consumption of the General Babahoyo Hospital, for this purpose an interview was conducted with the Director of Information Systems Technologies and a visual analysis of the entire network infrastructure , in order to collect the information. Once the information was collected and through its analysis, it was evident that the hospital has several technical problems, both physically and logically. In the physical part, the problem could be evidenced through visual analysis and the interview where it was discovered that the structured cabling exceeded by more than 100% its capacity for connecting computer equipment. In the logical part, it was evident that the ICT department of the Babahoyo General Hospital does not have autonomy, it is managed centrally by the National Directorate of Information Technology, which is the one that determines or assigns bandwidth of all the proprietary hospitals of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute, said address (DNTI) assigns a bandwidth of only 10Mb for the use of the entire institution. After the analysis of the team that manages the institution's internet, it was observed that the allocation of 10Mb is very little since it is always saturated by the large amount demanded by all the computer equipment that requires an internet connection. At the end of the investigation, it is concluded that, for the existing problems of the network in the physical and logical aspect, one of the possible solutions would be to carry out duly justified projects for both the network infrastructure and the consumption of bandwidth, said Projects will require the implementation of a new structured cabling line and the expansion of bandwidth to meet the needs of the Hospital. |
