Riassunto:This research is called: "SOCIAL SPORTS ACTIVITIES AND ITS IMPACT ON THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT OF THE CANTON URDANETA YEAR 2021", in the development of this work it was evidenced that social sports activities encourage tourism in the area of sport, since It provides the improvement of the quality of life and in this way the inhabitants of the place benefit. The purpose of this research is to list the sports activities of the Urdaneta canton, the places where these types of activities are mainly carried out and finally to develop a calendar that contains all the sporting events, so that the inhabitants are informed every time they carry out activities in said canton. It is expected that with this research work the importance of sports social activities within the Urdaneta canton will be clarified. The methodology applied is qualitative and quantitative since data collection was carried out through a survey of the population of the Urdaneta canton, where the results obtained show that people in this canton like sports activities, in statistical terms. 33.30% practice soccer and basketball, although a smaller percentage also practice other sports such as Indor and rhythmic gymnastics. As for places where this type of activity is carried out, 23.30% carry out activities in the Deportivo Catarama stadium, 20% are carried out in the Juan Bustamante Catarama Coliseum. Finally, in relation to the reasons for which they practice some sport, the respondents answered 53.30% for health and 43.3% do it for fun.
