| Samenvatting: | Chronic Kidney Disease is a public health problem that affects approximately one hundred and ninety-five million women worldwide, ranking number 8 in the causes of mortality in women, with almost 600,000 deaths a year. For this reason, it was decided to study and follow-up this pathology in the case of a 22-year-old second-pregnant patient with Chronic Renal Insufficiency and an 18-week pregnancy, the same one that was presented at the Nicolas Cotto Infante Hospital. The management and follow-up of this case was together with the evolution of the pregnancy, both the pertinent controls, ultrasounds, maternal-fetal monitoring and surveillance, monthly laboratory tests that allowed evaluating the renal evolution, diet, correct decision-making and joint work. of all health personnel were some of the measures that were taken and helped in the proper management of Chronic Renal Insufficiency and 18-week Pregnancy. This document presents the situation faced by the health professional and the mother-child binomial due to serious adverse situations that complicate the pregnancy, and on certain occasions the best moment for its termination must be chosen, with the objective that the affectation to the maternal-fetal binomial is not extreme. |
