description Hormonal herbicides are complex compounds that have the ability to control weeds in crops. For a herbicide to fulfill the function of controlling weeds by affecting their physiological and biochemical processes, it must be able to penetrate inside the plants and move within them from the site of penetration to the site where it exerts its action. Hormonal herbicides are made up of the chemical families: phenoxycarboxylic, benzoic, pyridinecarboxylic, and quinolinecarboxylic. The mechanism of action of these herbicides is the imbalance they produce in the hormonal control system of plants, which triggers a series of varied and complex processes, which ultimately lead to the death of the plant. There is another mechanism of action that affects hormonal balance in plants by inhibiting auxin transport. In this sense, auxin hormones are produced in the meristematic tissues of plants, in which these compounds move through parenchymal cells in contact with vascular bundles through a polar transport system, which is suspected to include specific transporter proteins. . The information obtained was made by means of the analysis, synthesis and summary technique, in order for the reader to know the importance of hormonal herbicides and their mechanisms of action in weeds. For the above detailed it was determined that, to promote the mechanisms of action of hormonal herbicides in weeds, they must be applied in the correct doses, allowing a set of symptoms such as: growth paralysis in root meristems, loss of tropism. During the application of hormonal herbicides, their volatility and dispersion due to the action of the wind are important, since they can affect crops that are very sensitive to these products

During the application of hormonal herbicides, their volatility and dispersion due to the action of the wind are important, since they can affect crops that are very sensitive to these productsLos herbicidas hormonales son compuestos complejos que tienen la capacidad de controlar las arvenses en los cultivos.
