Gaia:The objective of this study is to establish the incidence of audiovisual methods in the process of teaching the English language focusing on teachers and their role within the classroom. Population and methods: a field and documentary study was carried out in 10 teachers to establish the incidence of audiovisual methods in the teaching process, stating that audio-visual methods present us with new opportunities that are indescribable in education, a survey was carried out between the teachers. Results: 50% of teachers surveyed consider that audiovisual methods are necessary for the student to improve academically in English classes. 30% consider that audiovisual methods are not necessary for students to improve academically in English classes, and 20% consider that audiovisual methods are sometimes necessary for students to improve academically in English classes, affecting these in the school environment. It has been expressed on many occasions that what students are encouraged to do is critical thinking, enriching and open to new teaching methods, but we must not forget that it is important to balance and combine an existing diversity of new methods to unify it with the methods established in the curriculum and thus benefit students by allowing them to immerse themselves in innovation and not fall into the routine within the educational environment
