Περιγραφή
Περίληψη:This bibliographic review refers to the analysis of leptin in dairy cows in the transition period and its effect on fertility. Modern genetics has achieved the selection of cows with high capacity for milk production by lactation, however, this selection marked homeostatic imbalances in the transition period which has led to the presentation of metabolic disorders and reproductive failures, which negatively affect the profitability of dairy systems, the transition period has been considered as the process in which bovine females tend to acquire some disease. In addition, vacations in the transition period tend to use more energy than they ingest in their daily ration, which causes wear and tear on the bovine and it becomes very susceptible to health problems, causing alterations in reproduction, milk production and finally ends with the death of the bovine, however there are many adaptations that occur in the transition period. The conclusions detail that leptin concentrations vary with changes in body weight and percentage of fat deposits and dairy cows lose more than 60% of their body fat during early lactation, showing that leptin concentration decreases somewhat before childbirth. It is also very important to promote research based on the transition process to know how to progressively avoid the deterioration of the animal.
