Summary:In relation to education, it cannot be less to think that it will be impossible to change, if we don't have clear the type of teachers we need form to improve the learning and development of these young people. Even when critical pedagogy constitute a very important social phenomenon that transforms thought, also acknowledged the impact on education and their potential. In the Latin American region, is a clear lag in access of fairness but also in education. Apparently, currently unserved actions at all levels (political, educational, economic), our region will become one factor of inequality that perpetuate social and educational exclusion, and our children and young people will be trapped. With safety education opens up many possibilities, but it also raises new demands. One of the most important challenges concerning the teaching task. The new demands on the teaching profession claim that they are responsible for developing their students thinking skills with reflection and criticality of the domain of a diversity of competencies required in the context of the demands of the knowledge society. The question is are teachers prepared to do this?, it should be is doing to ensure a proper teacher training? Despite the curricular reforms of the last decade about fundamentals in constructivism, at least in the case of educational systems in our region, still prevalent forms of education focusing on the transmission of declarative knowledge.
