सारांश:The threat of preterm birth in adolescents has become a public health problem due to its high rate of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, this research work aims to determine the age of adolescence that influences as a predisposing factor under threat of preterm delivery in adolescents treated at the Sacred Heart basic hospital of Jesús Quevedo January - June 2019, a quantitative modality study was conducted, the study instrument was a database with the study variables, the sample consisted of 94 adolescent patients with a threat of preterm delivery attended to in the aforementioned hospital, which were obtained by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the results were obtained by tabulating the database in which it was reflected that 59% of Preterm birth threat occurs in middle adolescence, 61% comes from rural areas, 69% occurs between 32 - 36 weeks of gestation, 59% have insufficient controls, 85% are primitive, 89% do not work and 67% have secondary education. It was concluded that the psychological and social immaturity of the adolescent, the level of schooling, the origin, the number of controls and parity, are predisposing factors to develop a threat of preterm birth. This research shows that the stage in which more pregnancies in adolescence presented with threat of preterm birth was in middle adolescence.
