Sumari:This research deals with digital media and its impact on the formation of public opinion, in which the scope and significance of how digital media influence citizens by interfering in their opinions is analyzed and highlighted. Thanks to its reach, capacity and speed of dissemination, however, it is crucial that digital media users use these tools responsibly. The objective of the research is to determine the impact of digital media on the formation of public opinion. The methodology of the study is used in a mixed approach which would be qualitative and quantitative. Additionally, descriptive and quantitative research methods were applied. interpretive research. Likewise, survey techniques were considered, which are aimed at 394 people, inhabitants of the city of Babahoyo, as well as an observation sheet. The research concluded that the proper management of digital platforms and the responsible use of digital media are crucial for their positive impact on the formation of public opinion.
