Sumario:Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a finger-shaped pouch that projects from the colon on the lower right side of the abdomen. Inflammation can occur as a result of the blockage produced by a hardened piece of stool that generates a multiplication of bacteria. One of the main causes that it presents is due to hyperplasia of the lymphoid follicles and due to appendicolith or fecalith, depending on how they evolve, this can present peritonitis and the only treatment is surgical intervention and one of the most used is by laparoscopy. Acute appendicitis occurs infrequently in very young children, as well as in older adults, having its peak incidence in patients between the end of the second decade and the third decade of life. In the present of this clinical study is to put into practice the scientific knowledge acquired in academic and healthcare teachings as pre-professional internship practices, the scientific knowledge acquired in our academic study, provide us with adequate nursing care for its pathology both in the clinical part and the surgical part, applying the NANDA NIC and NOC methodology, in which the proposed objectives were achieved, resulting in the recovery of the patient.
