Opis
Izvleček:The research carried out at the Jorge Icaza Delgado educational unit aims to determine parenting styles and their influence on the socio-affective development of students. To do so, a mixed approach was chosen that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The different parenting styles authoritative, authoritarian and permissive are analyzed and how they affect the emotional and social skills of children, covering their ability to express emotions, resolve conflicts and build interpersonal relationships. The study includes surveys of parents, which allows obtaining a comprehensive view of parenting practices and their connection with the emotional well-being of students. Detailing that children raised under an authoritative style present a considerable and positive impact on the socio-affective development of children. Based on the research, children raised under an authoritative style present a more balanced socio-affective development, demonstrating superior social and emotional skills. In contrast, those who come from homes with authoritarian or permissive styles face greater difficulties in managing their emotions and establishing positive connections with their peers. In conclusion, the research highlights that consistent, communicative and caring parenting is essential for healthy child development. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between parents and students to strengthen socio-emotional well-being in the educational environment.
