Problemas causados por el mal uso de los herbicidas en el manejo del cultivo Caña de Azúcar (Saccharum officinarum) en la zona Lorenzo de Garaicoa, Guayas

The present investigation was based on collecting information on Problems caused by the misuse of herbicides in the management of the Sugar Cane (Saccharum officinarum) crop in the Lorenzo de Garaicoa, Guayas. According to the information compiled, it tells us that the cultivation of sugar cane is of great economic importance in Ecuador and worldwide since this crop produces a diversity of products for human consumption, so we must bear in mind the problems that can lead to the misuse of herbicides. Sugarcane cultivars present differentiated responses to herbicides, due to this, frequent phytotoxicity problems, effects on the soil, cultivation, environmental contamination, among others, which lead to a reduction in the productivity of the sugarcane cultivars. This research talks about each of the most notorious and important problems that herbicides can cause, the precautions and recommendations that we must take into account when applying a herbicide to sugarcane crops.
