Riassunto:The Autonomous Municipal Decentralized Government of the Canton Ventanas is a sectional government body responsible for the administration of the canton autonomously, has as purpose to sustain the development actions which boost projects that ensure the social, economic and environmental development of the population, conformed by the mayor, cantonal council, in addition to different municipal offices. In the period of 2009 - 2014 the shift administration carried out the remodeling of the GAD de Ventanas building, the same one that implemented a Local Area Network (LAN). The observation of the Wiring Structure of the GAD of Windows is made. At present, the LAN network of the GAD de Ventanas shows considerable deficiencies that do not allow it to integrate new technologies to the functions carried out in the building. Among them, the following stand out: • Poor state of conservation of certain network ports which causes connection failures. • The lack of flexibility before the organization, due to changes, does not match the current organization of the GADMCV. • There is no documentation specifying the rules and network topology implemented. Thus, through the method of direct observation, there is significant evidence that the network cabling structure of the GADMCV has many shortcomings since it has not taken into account the norms nor the basic concepts for making the technique of the structured cabling. The limitations of the case study are based only on the analysis of the structured cabling structure of the GADMCV.
