要約:Cocoa production in Ecuador is a very important item, generates significant sources of economic income and provides jobs for thousands of people. The cocoa marketing chain in the province of Los Ríos is dominated by intermediaries, being the main source of negotiation for small producers. A small part of the producers commercialize cocoa through associations and receive a value higher than that paid in the market, in addition to technical advice. As an option to improve the income of the farmers, it can be guided in the formation of associations that diminish the marketing problem avoiding the intermediary. The price of cocoa is unstable, it depends on several factors including demand and how long the chain is for marketing.
