Omschrijving
Samenvatting:The loss of alignment in the gaze is known as strabismus, it affects focus and binocular vision. Its consequences are varied, from affectation to binocular vision, possible development of amblyopia or better known as lazy eye. The human brain suppresses images from one of the two eyes and that leads to amblyopia. In children it is necessary to implement corrective treatments in order to take care of visual health. In the present clinical case we have a 9-year-old female patient who presents a convergent strabismus and myopia, presenting symptoms such as headache, visual fatigue, deviation towards the inner part of the eye. Once the respective examinations have been carried out, the treatment to be applied is determined, in this case, ocular occlusion and the prescription of aerial lenses.
