Journalists are primarily responsible for serving the interests of their readers and preparing information since they must maintain their work in respect for people's rights with the commitment to guide citizens. “And as for the social media, it is urgent to have, undoubtedly, the greatest number of ethical journalists, that is, truthful, objective, impartial, honest, with independent criteria, democratic, responsible and supportive” (Negrete, 2009, page 2). Ethics represents the principles of impartiality, objectivity and truthfulness. Journalists must manage these values so that they are part of their work or so that the management is responsible in daily journalistic work. Finally, it is intended to reflect on the need for ethical journalism; It is about describing the honest performance that every journalist must maintain in his daily life, guiding professional deontology in compliance with the ethical standards that journalism demands.
