| Crynodeb: | When high myopia occurs in children and adolescents, it is imperative to control its evolution in order to minimize the impact and possible loss of vision at an early age. It must be taken into account that vision is one of the pillars for the development of the human being. This case study is about a 10-year-old male patient who has high myopia, comes to the clinic presenting headache, difficulty focusing. Once the pertinent tests have been carried out, the cause is determined and treatment with orthokeratological lenses is defined. The use of orthokeratological lenses is recommended in cases where myopia shows a high development, the patient showed a good adaptation to the treatment and his visual condition improved. |
