סיכום:In the present investigation different methods of control for Sclerotinia sp in two varieties of paiteña onion was evaluated, was conducted in the area known as Central District, parish Bolívar Canton Bolívar province of Carchi, in order to identify the best method of control for Sclerotinia sp., two varieties of onion paiteña Red and White, determine the best performance versus implementation of control methods and economically analyze the treatments done. The completely randomized design (RCBD) with factorial (A x B), with three replications and eight treatments blocks was used. The total area of the experiment was 796 m2, a useful area of 12,00 m2 per experimental plot and a distance between blocks and treatments of 1 m. Plant height, percentage of infected plants in each plot, plant survival in stages, bulb size in each plot, weight of bulbs per experimental unit, bulb diameter, number of harvested bulbs per plot, efficiency: the variables were evaluated of each method. All variables were subjected to a randomized complete design (RCBD) with factorial (A x B) blocks, with three replications and eight treatments, using Duncan's test at the 0.05 level of significance to determine the difference between the means of study factors. The experimental results showed that:. Better control for Sclerotinia sp, was maintained in all the applied methods compared with the control without application, however it should be noted that in referring to the percentage of dead plants and bulbs infected the physical method used by Solarization kept lower values in the two varieties compared to other methods; the best performance and agronomic performance during the development of onion crop against application of control methods Sclerottinia sp............
