| Izvleček: | The test was carried out in the Province of Los Ríos, Mocache Canton, Pichilingue Tropical Experimental Station, at an altitude of 75 meters above sea level, at geographic coordinates 01 ° 27´ south latitude and 79 ° 27´42´´ western longitude. The average annual rainfall is 2000mm; 899 hours of heliophane and the temperature is 25.4 ° C. In the present experimental work, the design of completely randomized blocks with subdivided plots was used, where the large plots are the densities and the small ones are the treatments of spacing between plants and rows with 18 treatments and 4 repetitions. The variables evaluated were subjected to the analysis of variance and to determine the statistical difference between the means of the treatments, the Tukey test was applied at 95% probability. During the development of the crop, the agronomic work of land preparation, planting, weed control, phytosanitary control, fertilization and harvesting were carried out. Based on the results shown in the following investigation, it was determined that there were no changes in the morphology of the plant caused by the effects of densities, distancing or seeds per site for the variables of plant height, ear insertion height, stem diameter, stem stem, root stem, cob diameter, cob length, healthy ears, rotten ears, poorly pollinated ears, weight of 100 grains, grain harvest index, total harvest index; Higher yields were obtained by increasing the density of ha-1 plants and reducing the distances, thus finding that using combinations of 70,000 pl ha-1 x 0.70 m yields were reached up to 7.4 t ha-1; The best marginal return rate resulted from the combination of 70 000 pl ha-1 x 0.70 m reaching 467.45% |
