| Summary: | This research focuses on analyzing the contribution of the digital whiteboard to the professional performance of teachers at the Faculty of Legal, Social and Educational Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, during the academic period between October 2023 and March. 2024. This study is based on the premise that the integration of technology in teaching can have a significant impact on teaching practice and, therefore, on the quality of the students' learning process. To address this issue, qualitative and quantitative analyzes were carried out that involved collecting data through surveys in order to understand teachers' perceptions and experiences regarding the use of the digital whiteboard in their educational work. The results obtained revealed a generally positive trend in terms of the contribution of the digital whiteboard to the professional performance of teachers; various benefits associated with its use were identified, among which the possibility of diversifying teaching strategies, facilitating understanding, of the contents by the students, and incorporate multimedia resources in the classes. These findings suggest that the digital whiteboard is perceived as a versatile and effective tool that improves the quality and experience of learning in the classroom. However, areas of improvement and pending challenges were also identified in the integration of the digital whiteboard into teaching practice, among them the need to offer more complete and personalized training for teachers, as well as to update and improve the technological infrastructure available at the university. Likewise, the importance of fostering an institutional culture that promotes innovation and experimentation in the use of technology in teaching is highlighted, as well as establishing an effective and accessible technical support system for teachers. |
