Shrnutí:This research work is aimed at studying the use of screens and its effect on visual fatigue in young people who reside in the university citadel, Babahoyo. November 2023 - April 2024. The population of this project is affected by our independent variable since, due to the use and constant exposure to blue light emitted by digital screens that are causing visual fatigue, all of this having a great impact on young people. This research contains different theoretical foundations which have been helpful in highlighting our own information on the topic. The research techniques used were observation, surveys and different optometric tests which gave precise information to be able to work with said information, the results obtained. by completing the CVSS17 questionnaire according to the levels of visual symptoms are: level 4 or severe 38% (19), and level 5 or very severe 26% (13). To conclude, it was seen that a large percentage of the population is affected with symptoms associated with visual fatigue, thus demonstrating the validity of the topic. Different recommendations were given, one of them being the 20/20 rule, which consists of giving rest to the eyes. sight by making the patient look away to another distant point.
