Description
Résumé:This study focuses on the physiotherapeutic intervention in a 10-year-old male patient with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy (SCP), with the aim of improving his quality of life and motor function. Spastic CP is a chronic neuromuscular condition that significantly affects patients' autonomy and mobility. The research was carried out at the Specialized Educational Unit "Ayúdanos a Empezar ", where various physiotherapeutic techniques were applied during several sessions. These techniques included the application of localized heat, joint mobilizations, therapeutic massages and specific exercises to improve postural control and range of motion. The results revealed a decrease in muscle spasticity, an increase in joint ranges and an improvement in the patient's trunk and head control. These findings indicate that personalized physiotherapeutic intervention can play a crucial role in the management of spastic quadriplegic CPI, improving quality of life and motor function. This study underscores the importance of approaching this condition in a multidisciplinary manner, tailoring therapies to the individual needs of each patient.
