| description | The present clinical case is of a pediatric patient of eleven years of age who is admitted to the Basic Hospital Arenillas that admitted to the outpatient clinic for presenting abdominal pain of three weeks of evolution, apparent cause of swelling in the abdominal region due to fall, colic-like pain of moderate intensity in the right hypochondrium, accompanied by hyporexia, diarrhea for more than five occasions,hyperthermia, diaphoresis and unquantified weight loss. Laboratory tests are performed with results of Entoeba Histolytics cyst, giardia lambia cyst and abdominal ultrasound is performed, liver abscess located in right lobe of 2.12cm, left lobe of 2.60cm is identified, two are distinguished focal lesions, a round 30 mm in diameter. With a defeinitive diagnosis of amoebis liver abscess. The objective of the clinical case is to develop the process of nursing care for a pediatric patient with amebic liver abscess, the nursing diagnosis is identified with acute pain manifested by loss of appetite Physical infections (abscesses). A nursing care plan is executed, obtaining favorable results that helped to improve the patient's health during his stay in the health home. |

A nursing care plan is executed, obtaining favorable results that helped to improve the patient's health during his stay in the health home.El presente caso clínico es de un paciente pediátrico de 11 años de edad que es ingresado al Hospital Básico Arenillas por consulta externa presentando dolor abdominal de tres semanas de evolución, causa aparente golpe en región abdominal por caída, dolor tipo cólico de moderada intensidad en hipocondrio derecho, acompañado de hiporexia, diarreas por más de 5 ocasiones, hipertermia, diaforesis y pérdida de peso no cuantificado. En el resultado de los exámenes de laboratorio se observa Entamoeba Histolytica Quiste (+++) Giardia Lamblia Quiste (++), en ecografía abdominal se identifica absceso hepático ubicado en lóbulo derecho de 2.12cm, lóbulo izquierdo de 2.60cm, que se distinguen dos lesiones focales, una redonda de 30 mm de diámetro. Con un diagnóstico definitivo de absceso hepático amebiano. No tiene antecedentes patológicos personales, pero su hermano y primo fallecieron por leucemia, antecedentes alérgicos y quirúrgicos no refiere. El objetivo del caso clínico es desarrollar el proceso de atención de enfermería a un paciente pediátrico con absceso hepático amebiano, se identifica el diagnóstico de enfermería con dolor agudo manifestado por perdidas de apetito Infecciones físicas (abscesos). Se ejecuta un plan de cuidados de enfermería, obteniendo resultados favorables que ayudaron a mejorar la salud del paciente durante su estadía en la casa de salud.Babahoyo :UTB, 2019Aguirre Rodríguez, .
