| Summary: | Introduction: The present research work consists in determining the influence of respiratory diseases generated by the misuse of agrochemicals. The agricultural sector specifically the people dedicated to perform this activity called (day laborers) constitute the population with the highest risk of poisoning due to direct exposure. with fungicides that become everyday products of the first order in the cultivation process. Objective: To identify respiratory diseases caused by the use of fungicides, herbicides and pesticides in the inhabitants and workers of the Sonnia and Piedad farm, of the Zapote Campus, Urdaneta Canton, Province of the Rivers in the period May-September 2019. Methodology: Field research and documentary research will be used based on the Hacienda Sonnia y Piedad, in the Zapote Campus, Urdaneta Canton, Los Ríos province. Of which, during the study process, sufficient data has been collected to make the proposal feasible, in which 120 people directly and indirectly linked to the farm were also chosen as a population. Results: 75% of the people who have been surveyed mention that they have suffered some type of disease in the respiratory system or know of a worker who has diseases such as rhinitis, sinusitis, cough or in very serious cases with lung cancer. Conclusions: The day laborers and inhabitants of this farm mention that they do not have the necessary knowledge about the consequences generated by agroche. |
