Izvleček:Introduction. Pregnancy in adolescence, is a big problem of social, economic, and health in Ecuador, where fertility rates are very high, occupying the third place in the region with the most significant values between 10 and 19 years. General objective. The existing relationship between risk factors and the occurrence of pregnancy in adolescents who are treated at the Centre of health type A, Urban Vinces in the Los Rios province in the period from October 2018 to April 2019. Methodology. The mode of research had a quali-quantitative approach, the type of research according to your purpose was field, according to the level of the study was exploratory and descriptive, the purpose was non-experimental and applied and according to the temporal dimension was Cross. We used techniques of collection of the information as non-structured, direct scientific observation and survey; a questionnaire as an instrument was applied. The universe and sample were 120 and 60 respectively pregnant adolescents, sampling was not intentional probabilistic. Results. Pregnant teens of most prevalent age group was 16-19 years, followed by 13 to 15 years. Conclusions. Main risk factors found were low academic level of adolescents, low-income family, extended coexistence, most dysfunctional homes, early onset of sexual relations, lack of knowledge about contraceptive methods, insufficient health actions on family planning, poverty the social environment and lack of opportunities.
