Gaia:"It is an infectious disease that affects the lungs, specifically in individuals who have not recently been hospitalized." In the present case study, a Community-Acquired Pneumonia is addressed in an 82-year-old male patient who was admitted to the emergency area with his relatives (wife and son) due to a clinical picture of productive cough with greenish expectoration, fever, malaise and periods of dyspnea in the last 48 hours. To diagnose the disease, complementary tests such as: Complete Blood Biometry (CBC), Chest X-ray (CXR) and sputum culture were performed, which showed Community Acquired Bacterial Pneumonia. The CURB-65 scale was also used to assess the severity of the pathology. According to the diagnosis, the techniques and treatments used were: pharmacotherapy, oxygen therapy and respiratory physiotherapy. The objective of this clinical case is to determine the appropriate techniques and treatments for the management of Community Acquired Pneumonia.
