| Summary: | Nursing intervention is important, where its main role in the promotion of health and prevention of various diseases is highlighted, allowing the control of the incidence of intestinal parasitosis, since it represents a public health problem, being one of the first causes of morbidity in Ecuador, where there is a large percentage of children, who are susceptible to acquire, when one of the main entry to the body is by mouth. Therefore, it is important to establish the incidence of the nursing intervention in the control of intestinal parasitosis in elementary school children of the Juan León Mera Educational Unit of the Montalvo Canton. The inductive method was used, the type of research was applied, field, explanatory-correlational, cross-sectional, with a sample of 60 children from the third A and B courses. Among the most important results, 82% showed intestinal parasitosis. due to protozoan causes, of which 57% have more than one parasitic species, and the most frequent parasite was Entamoeba histolytica / dispar, also reflecting that the nursing intervention in its role as educator skirts percentages lower than 20%. The sample studied performs hygienic practices but does not perform it properly. The nursing staff does not fully perform the functions that correspond to them, including health promotion and disease prevention, resulting in a high rate of intestinal parasitosis. |
