Las TIC’S y su influencia en el desarrollo laboral del personal de la Unidad de Gestión Documental y Archivo de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo

The case study presented is aimed at identifying how the use of ICTs influences the work development of the personnel of the Document and Archive Management Unit of the Technical University of Babahoyo, this is intended to be done starting from the detection of the root of the problem to then continue with the development of the literature of the same and finally conclude with the solution proposals for the problem raised. This is a highly relevant issue within the university. It is currently essential that Information and Communication Technology be incorporated into the business environment because it significantly contributes to the progress of the institution, in this case, the implementation of a Document management system in the Study Unit promotes the streamlining of their work activities by renewing the documentation management practices in such a way that the effective work development of the collaborators is possible. Through descriptive research, the most relevant topics on the importance and usefulness of ICTs in the business sector are exposed, as well as the basic strategies required to carry out the document digitization process, all of this consulted in bibliographic sources with scientific endorsement. For its part, it was essential to use the survey technique to apply a questionnaire of specific questions to the collaborators of the Document and Archive Management Unit to obtain first-hand information on the influence that ICTs have on their work development. This is how through this research it has been exposed to an evident problem in the Technical University of Babahoyo so that the necessary measures are taken to achieve the efficient work development of its collaborators using ICTs strategically for the exercise of their functions.
