This technique allows children to question and investigate the reasons for everything around them. Reading has a lot of influence on people's learning, such as enriching vocabulary with totally new words that have never even been heard before, better understanding things that happen, and creating skills to improve communication. There are studies that indicate that reading daily for at least one hour improves the quality of sleep and reduces stress levels, which is why the present case study called Reading techniques and their influence on the performance of 3rd year EGB students of the 13 de Abril Educational Unit, Ventanas canton, Los Ríos, period 2023, the general objective is to determine the influence of reading techniques on the performance of 3rd year EGB students of the 13 de Abril Educational Unit, Ventanas canton, Los Ríos, period 2023. Because it is a case study, it required a qualitative research methodology in order to collect information based on the experiences, perspectives and ideas of the interviewees. The research techniques used in this work to collect relevant information related to the problem are bibliographic research because a search was carried out based on scientific articles, theses, repositories from several universities to develop the dimensions according to the two variables. about the topic. And as a research instrument, the interview was used, allowing very valuable information to be collected about the problem being investigated. This interview is developed around 5 questions where two students and two teachers who teach in the 3rd year of EGB were chosen as a representative sample.
