Se realizó un proceso de atención integral con el objetivo de mejorar el estado nutricional del paciente. Se procedió a realizar el método antropométrico, bioquímico, clínico y dietético teniendo como resultado un diagnóstico nutricional de Bajo peso (NC-3.1), Ingesta deficiente proteico-energética (NI-5.3), relacionado con dolor abdominal, pérdida de peso y náuseas producto del cáncer colorrectal y desnutrición moderada. Además, se estableció un plan alimenticio basado en las necesidades nutricionales del paciente por lo que se prescribió una dieta blanda intestinal al inicio del seguimiento y otra dieta hiper proteica que se adaptó progresivamente.
