الملخص: | Tomato is a crop that is grown on all continents and is one of the most important sources of vitamins and minerals, which is why it is in great demand in everyday homes. Currently, one of the main threats in the production of S. lycopersicum focuses on the integrated management of weeds since they can negatively affect initial growth, nutrient absorption and fruit development. The general objective of this study is to determine the main allelopathic effects of weeds with the greatest impact on the production of tomato crops (Solanum lycopersicum L). To carry out this study, a methodology was carried out that involved systematic steps based on the compilation of relevant documents from various sources. These data are analyzed carefully, depending on the nature of the study. Through the study, the importance of considering weed allelopathy as a significant factor that can affect the yield and quality of the tomato crop is highlighted. For this reason, the presence of weeds that exert allelopathic effects can represent an additional challenge for farmers, especially in conventional production systems where weed control is mainly based on the use of chemical herbicides. |
