SUMMARY This research was carried out on the grounds of the "San Pablo" Farm of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at Km 7.5 of the Babahoyo - Montalvo road. The land is located at the geographical coordinates of 790 32 'South Latitude, and 10 49' West Latitude, with a height of 8 msnm, has a humid tropical climate, with an annual average temperature of 25.5 ° C, a mean precipitation Annual of 2329.00 mm, relative humidity of 82% and 987.1 hours of annual average heliofanía. The soil is of flat topography, clay loam texture and regular drainage. The objectives were: To determine the most suitable system for the establishment of the pasture King grass purple; To identify the appropriate sowing distance for the agro ecological conditions and to evaluate the treatments economically. 1 kg of vegetative material (rods) of King grass grass purple in 1.35 linear meters was selected, selecting those that were free of pathogens and pests. The treatments under study resulted from the combination of two factors: planting systems (Factor A) that were constituted by one and two sticks and planting distances (Factor B) that were 0.50; 0.70, 0.80 and 1.00 m. The experimental design "Full Blocks Random" BCA with factorial arrangement A x B, with three repetitions, was used. The analysis of the variables and the comparison of the means were carried out with the Tukey test at 95% probability. During the development of the test, the preparation of the ground was carried out; sowing; Weed management; irrigation; fertilization; Phytosanitary control and harvesting. The evaluated data were plant height, number of tillers per square meter, stem diameter, green and dry matter production and economic analysis. From the results detailed in the previous chapter, it is concluded that the highest plant height at 90 and 150 days after sowing corresponded to the treatment that was used the sowing system of two sticks, with a distance of 0.70 m; Using two rods with planting distance of 0.70 m was reached greater diameter of the stem; The sowing system of two rods, with a distance of 0.50 m to 90 and 150 days in relation to the number of tillers / m2 and the best weight of green and dry matter, stood out as well as the economic analysis was reached by the system of Sowing of a rod with distance of 1,00 m with net benefit of $ 1772.87.
