The term "family disorganization" refers to the dispersion or disintegration of one of the parents within the home, partial or partial. El termino desorganización familiar se refiere a la dispersión o desintegración de uno de los padres dentro del hogar sea parcial, temporalmente o totalmente, por ende puede afectar la salud mental, su desenvolvimiento social, rendimiento académico y afectividad en el entorno donde se desenvuelve. Dentro del análisis del desarrollo afectivo y su influencia en los adolescentes, tenemos que el mismo incentiva el afecto, la comunicación, los conflictos, el control y la promoción de la autonomía. La literatura empírica existente sobre este tema indica que los adolescentes se ven muy favorecidos cuando tienen padres que se muestran afectuosos, comunicativos y les animan a mostrarse autónomos.
