description The present work as it is an analytical and bibliographic investigation that gathers information through web pages, scientific publications, magazine, etc. About everything related to the economy of organic cocoa in Ecuador, for which the main antecedents are presented first, as well as statistics related to the subject of study. Cocoa in past decades was one of the main crops that served as a livelihood for the families of small farmers, that is why now with organic cocoa farmers try to improve their economy in a more natural way. In Ecuador, cocoa is produced in two ways. The first is conventional, where chemical products are used, which in turn are considered harmful to the health of living beings and the environment; while the other form is the organic one that is named like this due to all those certifications that are obtained when producing, processing and marketing a product in a more natural way possible and that is resistant to diseases and that adapts to the climatic conditions of the This product is also considered a healthy and environmental product since no chemical products are used for its production and this thus prevents it from having a negative impact on the health and well-being of all living beings and the environment. In current times in Ecuador the Unocace is the one that is in charge of producing and marketing organic cocoa, taking into account that the provinces that produce the most organic cocoa in the country comes from the coastal region, likewise it can be said that Manabí is the province that produces the most organic cocoa nationwide and this product is considered the best internationally.
