Disminución de la agudeza visual de lejos por uso prolongado del celular en jóvenes de 13-16 años, del Colegio Leovigildo Loayza, Piñas-El Oro octubre 2018-abril 2019

With the technological advance of recent times the cell phone has increased its level of use with greater options and applications, It has also increased the number of young people who own their own cell pone, As it is the case of the young people of the school Leovigildo Loayza of the Canton Piñas, that, due to its diverse applications, they use it more frequently every day, becoming something of their daily routine. The objective of this work is to identify how many young people have presented diminished visual acuity due to the prolonged use of cell phones, identify how many young people know about the consequences of prolonged use of cell phones, likewise if they present some of the symptoms derived from the excessive use of the telephone, in the period of October 2018- April 2019. It is a cross-sectional, co-experimental, exploratory study in 65 young people who met the established criteria, A survey was applied based on the research, in addition to optometric tests in response to the objectives set, which allowed us to obtain the following results: It was found that 100% of young people own their own cell phone, the frequency of daily use was 100%, 100% of young people show decreased visual acuity, In addition to the other symptoms such as headache, followed by blurred vision, finally the burning itching and eye redness.
