Among the maternal conditions that are triggered in pregnancy we have sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia which is the most common, causing the newborn to conjunctivitis and pneumonia within the first 3 months of life. This clinical case was applied in the university hospital of Guayaquil, to publicize the fundamental bases of nursing diagnoses, being a necessary method that helps in the speedy recovery of the patient, as long as they help to meet the needs of the patient and their family members. |

This clinical case was applied in the university hospital of Guayaquil, to publicize the fundamental bases of nursing diagnoses, being a necessary method that helps in the speedy recovery of the patient, as long as they help to meet the needs of the patient and their family members.La salud materna se comprende en el periodo de gestación, en el cual se rigen todos los aspectos fisiológicos, psicólogos y de bienestar de la mujer desde la concepción, embarazo, parto y postparto, sin embargo, existen complicaciones que perjudican tanto a la madre como al feto y/o embrión, denominada afecciones maternas que abarcan múltiples problemas de salud que impiden que dicho proceso se dé acabo en las mejores condiciones de salud. Dentro de las afecciones maternas que se desencadenan en el embarazo tenemos infecciones de trasmisión sexual, tales como la clamidia que es la más común, provocando al Recién nacido conjuntivitis y neumonía en el lapso de los 3 primeros meses de vida.
